LIGHT ON A HILL

Light on a Hill is a story touching on the wonder and play within all of us, even when the world seems dark. Growing up, faith was at the center of my family’s home. We lived our lives around the words of the Bible; studying it, appreciating it, and leading our lives outside our home by it. A nod to the bible verse found in Matthew chapter 5, Light on a Hill symbolizes how I feel called to lead my life: with grace, kindness, joy, and love; especially as tragedy and dark times surround us. My hope is that this visual story will be a joy-filled gift to anyone who comes across it.

Louisa Wells is a photographer and art director living in New York City. From a young age, she was encouraged to explore a wide variety of art mediums, particularly dance. This appreciation is reflected in her photography style. She is able to capture her subjects with warmth, inviting others to see her subjects as she sees them — with quiet confidence and grace.
