Rolling On Joy

By Naohmi

There is vibrance in expression.
There is power in movement.
There is freedom in letting go.

This project follows the deep-rooted joy of roller skating culture and how it is currently connecting BIPOC women in Los Angeles.

Meet Sista Skate— a roller skating community created by Black and Brown Femme roller skaters. Their mission is to provide a welcoming and safe space for all skaters to learn new skills, find joy and create a supportive community.
