This project focuses on the characteristics and empowerment of a Denver, Colorado high school basketball team through the challenges of 2020.

Caleb Santiago Alvarado is a Mexican-American photographer & director. Above all, Caleb’s work is about empowering people. 

Growing up as a Latino, Caleb rarely saw people that looked like himself on TV, in magazines, or in ads. His goal is to change that. Caleb thinks about his nieces, nephews, and his community. He takes photos to showcase the world he lives in, which is diverse, rich, and full of stories.

This interest in people and storytelling came about during graduate school while studying architecture in Mexico City. Caleb found himself fascinated by how people connect, exchange, and create community, which led to his photographic explorations.
