This project explores the depth of strength, sisterhood and freedom that embodies the Werking Woman. For thousands of years, women relied on the strength of their bodies to survive. Women within their communities, utilized their shoulders, necks and heads to carry heavy loads of food, water, and building materials. Many women continue this practice of carrying today. Werking Woman is inspired by this depth of womanhood, along with fashion, and the interplay of art and style within photography.
