Tian is a vision of heaven that departs from fluffy white clouds and feather-winged angels, instead embracing the harmonic balance of the worldly and the heavenly. The series features the major nourishing staples of East Asian cultures, both as godly, otherworldly offerings as well as bodily, homey delights. Throughout, reminders of heritage swirl together with the imprints of contemporary Asian American makers. Tian is a heaven that dispenses with pearly gatekeeping and invites you to find the extant serenity within.
