In our digital world, where connections transcend physical boundaries, I have discovered a sanctuary within my device’s screen, found my very sense of belonging intricately woven into the threads of iMessage. Every day, the essence of my identity is being formed through the words, emotions, and stories we exchange on our screens.
This project showcases the power of iMessage in building meaningful connections. Through the bright screen on my phone and my smartwatch, I have discovered a place where I can express myself, where the barriers of time and space fade away. As I send and receive each text and express each emoji, I find kindred spirits who celebrate my victories, share my struggles, and validate my existence. I transcend the spaces between us and the cultural differences that separate us to find a community that resonates with my thoughts and aspirations. My tribe. The images you see here seek to capture this sense of belonging in the digital space.
